NaPoWriMo 2015

Day 14: Today, I challenge you to write a poem that takes the form of a dialogue. (or in this case for me: and visual poetry).

April is was NaPoWriMo (National—which includes International—Writing Poetry Month), however the prompts remain in place. The prompt posts are informative and revealing. Resources and samplings are often linked in the post. And the prompts which can be explored any time. . . . are sure to ripple your thought process about poetry as well as widen your wow Here: NaPoWriMO.

This has been an evolving project. From a day or two to a week or two (although I was already behind by two weeks to begin with. . . .)

It was to have been you reading and then clicking on a recording play button, here in the blog, however I could not get that to work. Eventually that led to the above iMovie and YouTube.

. . . .and incase all of that doesn’t work here is the full (short) poem in written form:

An Experiment in Conversation

1 – Rick reading (which would have been a recording):
“oh I won’t. I’ll just wing it.”

2 – Rick reading (which would have been a recording):
“just remember. I don’t know anything or much about this poetry stuff. I’m just trying to be me. so this will just have to be an experiment. entering you. through your eyes. and through your ears. into your skull. in my own words.”

pce written 3 sml 6x

3 – Rick reading: (which would have been a recording):
“yes. well. really. what do you think they will make of this tomorrow? or in fifty to a hundred years from now? imagine.”

pce written 4 sml 6x

4 – Rick reading: (which would have been a recording):
“oh. I have my doubts. nothing new under the sun has always been a lot close than I have reason to imagine. remember doing haiga before you knew haiga existed? haibun before you knew haibun existed? etegami before you knew etegami existed? . . . . well. this may be a lot like that. and then what?”

pce written 5 sml 6x

5 – Rick reading: (which would have been a recording):
“yes laughing perhaps. and then some. because it’s all new to me all of the time. each day I wake. and each day I’m off planet. and beyond the great beyond. yes?”
