Balloons Slip Away ~ #012 June 2014 – Etegami and Haibun
The Inevitable. Surprise.
surprise surprise. my time grows significantly shorter each day. now. for the foreseeable summer.
ha. how far time can be seen. by me. is just short of tomorrow. by about the length. of my shadow. at dawn.
given this time slippage. i’m thinking i may slip away. from prompts (possibly not altogether). for now. and possibly haibun (although maybe not haibun too). and work on things that are easier for me to post quickly. and/or. without the use of my Desk Top iMac—my companion beast. hopefully i will still retain. and focus on. the way i want to create. within my own work. what ever that may be. or become. . . .
so. to see where this goes. or begins. this is it.

Etegami and Haibun are two of the many Haiku and Related Forms in the field of poetry. In this case this postcard may also be considered Haiga.
- Etegami is the Japanese Folk Art of writing and drawing (with or without color) sent between friends via the postal service often as a postcard.
- Haibun is prose or poetry (other than haiku) plus one or more haiku.
- Haiga is image which includes haiku as part of the image—image and haiku as one work.
