Blossom Lingering ~ #010 April 2014 – Haiga/Haibun/Haiku for NaPoWriMo 2014
Suddenly Spring
passionfruit returns to blossom production. each time I step outside. to see what is happening. the plant. seems to have meandered. with intention. along the fence. another few feet. exploring. a path of its own. bing. pop. fling. zing. blossoms bobble. lingering. in the golden air. the translucent. insect-wing. light. of the garden. at dusk.
are we there yet? are we into spring yet?
the rain is chilly. I add another layer of clothing. pull an extra blanket back up on the bed. take the hoodie out of the closet. again. again.
the passionfruit blinking out more blossoms. blink. another blossom. blink. another blossom. blink. . . .
okay. okay. sign me up. it’s got to be spring already!
blossoms pop

NaPoWriMo 2014
My responses for the last day or two of National Poetry Writing Month 2014 (NaPoWriMo 2014). I hope to contribute at least one poetic writing each day—although I will post these on my blog only as I post (which currently is about 2-4 times a week).
