Sleep Related ~ #011 – 30 Days of Haiga September 2013 (Haibun)
Several years ago a Postal Art friend of mine enjoyed Hourly Comic Day. Hourly Comic Day was (and still may be going on) one day a year when people create at least one comic panel for each hour they are awake for 24 hours and post it online.
My friend enjoyed this immensely; however, it was not enough. She wanted it (craved it) more often than once a year.
Several of us decided to try Hourly Comic Day once a month.
One comic panel for each hour we were awake for 24 hours on or around the first of each month. The next first of the month arrived and our Once-a-Month Hourly Comic Day was on. We did this off and on for several years from 2007-2011 (so far) and posted our work on Blogspot.
This Blogspot blog (Burping Babies or Day’s Worth) is still accessible; however, it comes with a caution as some of the panels are not for the feint-of-heart and may touch upon subjects of questionable appropriateness. Each participant is entirely and solely responsible for their own work. . . . to be sure there is at least some humor that I think will reach anyone. At least anyone with at least a remnant of a funny bone left in them.
The five panels I’ve included in Bed Sleep Awakening were part of twenty-two panels from my March 1, 2007 Hourly Comic Day—or A Day in the Life. . . . as we also called it because we did not always achieve comedy. Or at least I didnt. Which is one of the reasons I wanted to participate—I wanted to improve my sense of humor.

Each 30 Days of Haiga post has a new Mister Linky button for that day. To connect your haiga post to the prompt for today, click on the Mister Linky button below and add your post URL link (which is different from your blog URL link) as indicated.
Leave a note in the comment section when you add your haiga post URL link and I will try to come visit your haiga (this may take a few days—especially toward the end of the month). Currently I’m behind on comments and visits. I hope to remedy this in the coming days.
Anyone can visit haiga created by others. Click on the Mister Linky button and then the post you’d like to visit.
