My response to prompt Special #48, Jane Reichhold’s “riversong” for the Carpe Diem ~ July 2013 prompts.

The challenge for each Carpe Diem Special prompt is to write your own haiku in the same sense, tone and spirit as the prompt “special” haiku. In this case the haiku is by Jane Reichhold.

Jane Reichhold’s haiku:

riversong

windblown from autumn trees

a stream of gold

The informative prompt and responses to this prompt can be found on the Carpe Diem Blog.

You are invited to respond to these prompts as well.

Please Note: The Carpe Diem blog is featuring “Specials” in July centered around Jane Reichhold’s haiku. Jane is a highly acclaimed and influential writer and speaker on short form poetry including haiku.  She generously shares her knowledge of haiku and haiku thinking on her insightful Ah-ha Poetry site—which is a great resource as well as inspiration for short form poetry. If you have an interest in haiku, I encourage you to explore what Jane offers.

Have fun. Explore haiku. Aloha—Rick
