The Rainy Season ~ for Carpe Diem’s Tan Renga Challenge #003, with Buson
the rainy season
a paper lantern in hand
I walk along the verandah Buson
beneath the hidden moon
the sound of crickets Daddario
Tan Renga—a two link chain
First three line link—Buson
Second two line link—Rick Daddario
After working the image out this way I am now considering an alternate version in my two lines by adding the word “still” before the last line so it would read like this:
the rainy season
a paper lantern in hand
I walk along the verandah Buson
beneath the hidden moon
still the sound of crickets Daddario
It’s a minor change but I like the way it feels over all.
