My response to prompt #222, Kakitsubata (blue flag or rabbit ear iris) for the Carpe Diem June 2013 prompts, which are centered around traditional “kigo” or “season words” for summer. Kakitsubata (blue flag or rabbit ear iris) is a midsummer kigo.
