One week until September and the Second 30 Days of Haiga begin – in which you are invited to participate.

There is now a (permanent) page on the September Haiga event in the 19 Planets Blog navigation bar.  Please let me know when you have suggestions or thoughts for it or the event.

This year I will try to begin a few days early and start leaving prompts or direction guides a day or two ahead of the day for the haiga to be posted (for those who like to work from them).   This is optional, it is not a requirement and I may or may not use them myself.  Many of the prompts have been taken from traditional or suggested activities for that specific day in September as a focus for thought, season or remembrances.

To start off focused in the spirit of haiga here is the first prompt for September 1, 2012:

Random and/or Without

(your haiga to be posted on September 1 of course)

So get your doodle pens and brushes inked up, sand drawing sticks smoothed, camera batteries charged and your haiku mind stilled for the entire month of September – and of course have fun too – aloha.
