Ku On This prompts are intended to explore haiku and haiga and of course have fun—however; Your response to the Ku On This prompt does not have to be in the form of haiga—or even haiku.
How you respond and how your response connects up to the Ku On This prompt is up to you: short form poetry, flash writing, 55 word short story, remembrance writing, shot-gun writing, a photo response, drawing, doodle, digital drawing and painting, watercolor are all fine (a few of the ways you can respond—and have fun).
Information and background for Ku On This can be found by clicking the page link in the navigation bar (above). Aloha

this one turned a bit melancholy on me…
aloha Angie. yeah, i wondered if that might happen at times. i have a photo of a mailbox that was decorated for Valentine’s Day too. i thought about posting it but thought that might lead to some lonely haiku as well. okay, i still may do so. and yeah, some images do that too me too. it’s okay by me—when i’m melancholy that’s what melancholy is like. that way i know what it’s like when i’m not melancholy too.
btw. i saw one of your feather posts was placed on Haiku Today. that’s very cool. aloha.
yeah, well — it is what it is, right? some days we’re sad, and that’s ok.
btw, what did you see on haiku today?
I’m not sure what you’re referring to…
yeah. you have that right. “it is what it is”.
maybe this will work, scroll down to the “stories” area:

it surprised the heck out of me. fun.
oh, well — I guess it’s gone now. I didn’t see it.
I think those “li” things pull in from twitter; I’ve noticed posts of mine ending up in other “papers like that before when I used to do twitter. I don’t use that much anymore — too much for me to keep up with lol.
I think kathy shared some of my feathers posts — I hope you don’t mind me sharing your prompts and such on my facebook page. (it helps me keep track of what I what to remember to do!)
oh. sheesh. yeah, i clicked the link when i placed it and it worked. now it takes me to the next day. thanks for the info on the “li”. i didnt have any idea what it was going on. still cool to have been posted there. yeah, keeping up is one of my concerns too. i have more than i can handle at the moment. i think it’ll slow down a bit after this week. ha. good luck on that.
i dont mind at all that you share things from the blog elsewhere. i’m not often elsewhere but i do try to encourage people to look at other blogs and sites when appropriate. including yours.
yeah, too, keeping track as a writer is a challenge for me. i’m okay from the art point of view but the rules are different for writers and visual artists. at least with art i know when i’m not doing what i should be doing. with writing i often just dont know. that’s okay, it’s like street learning for me. a little here a little there. fun. because it’s at my own pace.
btw, cool one liner at the Moon Viewing Party. fun on. aloha.
I left you a visual poem by the shadow mailbox…
aloha Benedicte – cool. way cool. i’m looking forward to your visual poetry. i am however behind. i have yet to catch up with the prompt responses from last week. February has been a challenge but it’s also way fun. fun on. aloha.
no problem, it is very relaxing to be in the shadow, take your time, aloha.
bwahahahaha. i’m glad you’ve found a relaxing place. i’m hoping to find a little slower pace after this week. and time in the paint and paper section of my art. . . . thanks for being patient. aloha.
