Altered Photograph

In my response to the Ku On This prompt (KOT# 001–2013 ~ A Christmas Bell) I’ve altered the image slightly.

Three Notes:

  1. Check out the Zen Space Winter 2013 Showcase for haiku and related forms of poetry edited by Marie Marshall.  I’m delighted to say that two of my unseen-elsewhere haiga have been included. The Zen Space creates a Showcase approximately every three months and invites you to other participation events as well.
  2. If you enjoy working to a visual prompt—or enjoy seeing/reading a collaboration between artist and short form poetry writers, follow the Yay Words! blog by Aubrie Cox under He Doodles, You ‘Ku, for the entire month of January. Each day there is a great new prompt and excellent responses by a number of poets and writers in the comments (One such He Doodles, You ‘Ku post is here). You are welcome to play/respond in this event as well. I have been leaving haiku in this daily event. Yay Words is host to a number of writing events throughout the year.
  3. The Catching The Moment blog by Rita Odeh is host to a monthly International Kukai Haiku Contest with results by participating writer voting.  I have been playing in this for a couple of months now. You can see the results of the No.9 International Kukai—Olive here. Congratulations Sanjukta A. of the Wild Berries blog

Have fun. Aloha
