One of several small Mixed Media works centered around Key(s) from 2011. Keys have a tremendous symbolic potential as I see it. I return to them every so often as subject and departure point for work. Among the odds and bits in my studio is a jar full of discarded and found keys – old, rusted, new, shiny and in some cases broken, in a range of materials, colors, shapes and sizes. Taking one out it’s fun to think about what it may unlock, open or start.
Roxie Hanna – of Roxie’s Blog – invited me to appear in a Spotlight interview. My interview response is here. Roxie is a freelance writer and editor. Roxie’s Blog is a resource particularly for writers. She also introduces a variety of Artists and Illustrators along with Poets and other Writers in her Spotlight feature.
