Haiga ~ Image with Haiku as one work.

Photograph

  • 8 x 12 Inches @ 300 ppi
  • Digital Photography
  • Nikon D80 Digital Camera
  • Adobe Photoshop Elements 6

This Photograph was clicked Friday night (January 20, 2012) in Downtown Honolulu where I attended an Opening for the Clear the Smoke dot Org Photo Project (an awareness project on ways tobacco affects Hawaii and the people of Hawaii using photography as the format) at The Arts at Marks Garage (a center for the Arts located in Downtown Honolulu).  Two photos I had taken on the street were in the Photo Project Show.

The Opening was on “Slow Art Friday” – a night when  you can take your time in Art Galleries and around Downtown to actually see the art. At least slowing down to actually see the art was the idea behind Slow Art Friday.  Now it also coincides at times with openings – which are fun too.  Below is a photograph from the Clear the Smoke dot Org Photo Project Opening which was well attended and, yeah, fun.

Wonderful interpretation of this week’s challenge. Haiku is simple in the reading, but complex and challenging to write so well! Congrats on having two of your images in the photo project show!
